Power Systems Recovery's core business is the safe and efficient removal of tubes from retired condensers. We can assist power plant crews or maintenance contractors with retubing projects by providing the industry's best tube removal tools and technical expertise at the lowest cost. In addition we can furnish tube installation tools. To add value and offset project costs we will package, weigh and purchase your scrap tubes for top dollar.
 
Internal Tube Cutters: This tool uses a Cobalt blade to cut the copper alloy or stainless steel tube from behind the tube sheet prior to tube extraction. Tube sizes range from 3/4" to 1 1/4", 18-22 BWG.
 
Collet Style Pullers: This tool exerts up to 10,000 PSI of force to pull the cut tube approximately 4-6 inches from the tube sheet. This allows the extractor to grab and pull the tube completely from the condenser. Stubs can also be pulled from the other end. We stock 3 different models with varying weights and pulling capacities.
 
Tube Extractor: After the collet puller pulls the tube 6" out of tube sheet the Extractor is used to flatten and pull the tubes completely from the condenser. Pulling rates from 0 to 250 feet per minute at a steady 4000 lbs. of force can be achieved. Jin poles, balancers and beams with trolleys and hoists are provided.

Tube Choppers: This machine is used to chop flattened copper-alloy and stainless steel tubes into 4-6 inch pieces. Use of the chopper simplifies the handling of the scrap tubes and upgrades the scrap's value.
 
Puller Pump: This electric over hydraulic 10,000 PSI pump powers the Collet Pullers. It also powers other available hydraulic tools such as: jacks, spreaders, nut splitters, cutters and torque wrenches.
 
Extractor Pump: This 60 GPM 60 HP electric over hydraulic system powers the Extractor.

Portable Scale: Legal-for-trade Rice Lake® floor scales with AC and battery operated indicators to weight boxed tube scrap. Our 4ft x 4ft, 5,000/lb capacity scales have a readability of 1/lb and are set in protective platform with fork slots.
 
Beam & Trolley Hoist: To balance to the extractor our Universal B&T Systems® rapidly bolts-up to the water box flanges of various size and shaped condensers and works well in situations with tight overhead clearances. Special mounting brackets utilizing Lindapter® structural connectors allow for adjustment of the beam along its vertical and horizontal axis. Standard beam sizes are 10, 12, 15, and 20 feet long with .5 and 1 ton capacity low profile trolley/chain hoist.
 
Tube Cleaning Systems: To enhance scrap value both 300 psi Water Propelled Projectile and Rotary Cleaning Systems are available to remove shells, silt .mud, corrosion and other deposits from fouled tubes before extraction.
